Maksud hati ingin menfasilitasi teman teman dalam kepemilikan blackberry curve 8330 smartfren, mumpung lagi ada promosi. Dengan harga 800rb, sudah gratis 3 bulan untuk BIS sosial, tawaran yang menggiurkan. Apalagi difasilitasi dengan cicilan bungan ringan. Hanya 100rb perbulan. Singkat cerita BB diantar ke kantor oleh petugas dari Smartfren. Di bantu diaktifkan ditempat. Dicoba dijalankan BBM, faslitas andalan Blackberry. Ketika docoba Sudah jalan semua dan bb sudah dipegang pengguna masing masing baru muncul masalah, dari 8 buah bb curve 8330 yang dibeli semua dalam kondisi software yang belum terupdate. BBM masih versi 4, apllikasi facebook, tweeter dan yahoo belum terinstall.

Langkah pertama seperti biasa buka mbah google, banyak saran di forum langkah2 upgrade bbm dan instal aplikasi. Download banyak file. Sayangnya ternyata banyak saran yang ada diforum tidak bisa dijalankan karena error di salah satu proses. Dah gak kehitung banyaknya file yang di didownload dan coba dijalankan. Kalo gak filenya yang error file cod yang tidak cokcok untuk versi BB.

Langkah upgrade OS Blackberry Curve 8330 Smartfren :1. Persiapkan komputer yang masih sehat windowsnya. (gunakan laptop atau pc dengan ups untuk menghindari kegagalan karena listrik mati. Kegagalan ditengah proses upgrade akan membuat blackberry rusak secara program. Dan butuh proses panjangan untuk memperbaiki).2. Download dan install Dekstop Manager (DM) versi terbaru.3. Koneksi internet yang stabil (download upgrade file terbaru sekitar 204-350 file)4. Colokkan BB ke komputer menggunakan kabel data.5. DM otomatis akan mendeteksi upgrade OS Blackberry terbaru. Jalankan langsung pembaruansaja6. Ikuti langkah yang ada sampai muncul peringatan upgrade sudah selesai.

Setelah software OS terupdate dilanjutkan dengan menginstal/mengupgrade aplikasi secar OTA (On The Air). Yang ternyata walaupun paket BIS Sosial di beri akses untuk download/upgrade aplikasi secara online. 6 Blackberry sudah beres dengan cara ini.

Sedangkan yang 2 bermasalah, BB Curve 8330 Sprint/Verizon Smartfreen, selalu gagal dalam menginstall aplikasi tambahan dan upgrade BBM. yang BB satunya malah tidak muncul tombol shortcut sama sekali walaupun sudah di upgrade OS versi terbaru. Dari sini saya simpulkan dari 8 blackberry CDMA Smartfren Curve 8330 (campuran antara sprint dan verizon) kelihatannya sama tapi ternyata beda-beda.

untuk 2 blackberry Curve 8330 Smartfern yang bermasalah, bisa di install blackberry mesengger dan berjalan normal melalui Dekstop manager tidak dengan versi standar 5.0.2.12 tapi dengan menggunakan versi BlackBerry Messenger 5.0.1.41.

saya sudah coba update OS nya V 4.5.0.191 (platform 3.4.0.6.2) dan berhasil.. setelah itu saya update bbm nya ke versi bbm_5.0.1.41_8700_4.5.0.124 yang saya download dari web yang mas dan berhasil di instal. Tetapi icon blackberrynya tetap belum muncul.Mohon pencerahan mas..

Dulu pernah ada masalah seperti itu tetapi beberapa tahun yang lalu. Permsalaha di versi upgrade aplikasi facebook yang membuat koneksi ke server facebook melalui AP yang sama dengan browsing sehingga pengguna paket sosial tidak bisa. Solusinya coba ganti versi aplikasi facebook di atasnya.
